Welcome to Backcountry Storage and Suites!

As hosts, we aim to make your stay as comfortable as it can possibly be! Our mission is to help our guests create memories in our accommodations. We have 2 cabins and 3 suites located in Malakwa with gorgeous mountain view all around. Stop in for a night or stay for a few!

Little bit of insight into our area

Malakwa is a quiet but scenic area with many attractions all year around.

If you’re into snowmobiling – Welcome to sledders’ paradise! We have 4 sled zones within 10 minutes of our place, with groomed trails and cabins. Into skiing/snowboarding? Ski hills are in Revelstoke and Silver Star (Vernon).

Summertime come and enjoy the beautiful Shuswap Lake, hit the beach, go boating/house boating, check out the Dutchman Dairy for the best ice cream and chocolate milk EVER and we have amazing mountain side golf course!

If you’re into other power sports like dirt biking or SXS. There are plenty of trails located in Queest (aka our backyard) or in Revelstoke, Vernon, or Kelowna. And of course, we are surrounded by hiking trails and many waterfalls.

"We stayed in the 2 bedroom cabin, very nicely appointed with a hot tub, BBQ, full kitchen with all your kitchen needs and even has a dishwasher! Very comfy beds, a nice big living room with a huge TV to watch sled videos after a day of riding. Kirsten and Brian are great hosts!! Definitely recommend you book here if you are planning a trip to the area, they have many options for big groups too with 1, 3 and 4 bedroom suites in the big shop. Lots of room to park and move trailers around, and great views of the mountains from all around!"
